About The Position

Aero Capital Solutions, Inc. (“ACS”) is a leading mid-life aircraft leasing and trading company focused on providing customers flexible and pragmatic aircraft and engine solutions while also delivering value to its investors. ACS is headquartered in Austin, Texas with international offices in Dublin, Ireland, and Singapore. The current global headcount around 80 employees. As part of ACS, you will join a team of highly skilled industry professionals with vast experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, aircraft and engine trading, fleet management and engine shop visit management. For lessors, ACS is a reliable and competent trading partner for on-lease and off-lease aircraft and engines. For airlines, ACS is a specialized solutions-oriented partner to assist with fleet planning challenges, including retirement programs including forward purchase and sale-and-leaseback transactions. In addition, ACS provides customers with engine support with tailored solutions structured as engine leases, exchanges, or trades which reduce operating cost. For investors, ACS is an alternative asset investment manager which provides both equity and debt investors with access to investing in the mid-life aircraft segment while benefitting from an experienced aircraft leasing platform. The firm prides itself on its hands-on approach to aircraft leasing and its ability to add value to its transactions, ultimately benefitting investors. In 2021, ACS was noted as the fastest growing mid-life aircraft lessor in the world by Cirium. Its unique ability to “handle the metal” along with full in-house capability on all aspects of managing mid-life and end-of-life aircraft provides a platform for creating value in a competitive environment. Areas in which ACS can typically “add value” range from optimizing cash flows associated with a specific lease to maximizing an aircraft’s residual value via a sum-of-the-parts exit approach, passenger release, or freighter conversion and cargo release. The Manager – Legal Operations will report to the Deputy General Counsel, be based in Austin, and assist the members of the Legal Department with a broad range of the company’s legal and transactional needs, including purchasing, leasing, selling, and financing of aircraft and various US and international corporate governance matters. Ideal candidates would include experienced paralegals in aircraft leasing or real estate with backgrounds at aircraft leasing companies, commercial real estate firms, or large law firms, but highly credentialed early career professionals eager to play a critical role across a broad array of matters within the Legal Department at a prominent aircraft leasing company are also welcome to and encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously at differing stages of progress.
  • Maintains good judgement under pressure.
  • Confident working within a fast-paced, high-pressure, and fast-changing environment.
  • Has an empathetic personality; collaborates well and exemplifies ACS’ core values.

Nice To Haves

  • Qualification as a Texas notary or paralegal a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, execution, and administration of agreements relating to the purchase, sale, lease, and financing of commercial aircraft and engines.
  • Coordinate document execution, including signature requests, notarizations, apostilles, and legalizations, as required.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all leasing transactions, contracts, and related documents.
  • Work with internal and external resources, including legal, technical, investments, tax, and commercial teams.
  • Manage KYC and other assorted corporate diligence requests.
  • Provide additional support as required by senior team members.
