About The Position

The Manager, Leadership Engagement is a member of UJA Federation's Leadership Engagement and Development (LEAD) team. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Leadership Development and working closely with the Director, Leadership Engagement, the Manager supports the implementation of initiatives that strengthen volunteer leadership engagement and build leadership pipelines across the organization. The Manager plays a key role in maintaining effective operational processes, supporting volunteer pipeline management, and leveraging Salesforce to inform planning and decision making. This role works collaboratively across the organization to ensure leadership engagement initiatives are delivered consistently while supporting the development of new opportunities for volunteer engagement.

Requirements

  • Post secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in project coordination, program management, volunteer engagement, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information and make practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment, prioritizing and adapting as necessary.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director and Vice President in identifying and developing new volunteer leadership pipeline and engagement opportunities across UJA and its partner organizations.
  • Conduct research and prepare background information to support the identification and assessment of prospective leadership opportunities , volunteer initiatives and emerging community needs.
  • Triage leadership referrals and coordinate follow up with the appropriate member of the LEAD team.
  • Support the annual review of committee membership by maintaining committee data and tracking vacancies, appointments, and term changes.
  • Monitor volunteer engagement activity and identify individuals requiring onboarding, offboarding or ongoing stewardship communications.
  • Assist where appropriate in preparing leadership pipeline reports, committee summaries and volunteer engagement materials.
  • Where responsibilities are primarily administrative or logistical, coordinate with the Specialist, Leadership Development to ensure the timely execution of communications, scheduling, data management, and other operational tasks.
  • Support the ongoing administration of LEAD's Salesforce processes and workflows.
  • Monitor reports and dashboards to identify trends, data gaps and operational needs.
  • Make recommendations regarding Salesforce enhancements and process improvements that strengthen LEAD's effectiveness.
  • Coordinate Salesforce onboarding and training for new team members.
  • Maintain process documentation and support data integrity and consistency.
  • Assist with the coordination and operational delivery of leadership engagement programs, cohorts, and special initiatives.
  • Serve as LEAD's liaison with Marketing, Events and other internal departments for leadership related programs.
  • Provide project management support for departmental initiatives and special projects.
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables and follow up across multiple initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials to support departmental priorities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of LEAD processes and operational practices.
  • Support other departmental priorities as required.
