About The Position

J&J is currently seeking a Manager for Large Program AI & data Platform. This is a hybrid role based in J&J's New Jersey locations. The IMT SC Large Program AI and Data Platform Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, deployment and management of enterprise technology AI products and IMSC integrated data platform. This role leads work across multiple Technology Product and Platform Management families, with accountability for AI end‑user applications, and AI‑enabled platforms supporting the IMSC Transcend program. The Manager ensures alignment between business objectives, AI‑ready data maturity enabled by SAP BDC and AI capabilities enabled by SAP Joule, and scalable technology solutions integrated with broader IMSC Data and AI platforms (Aspire.ai) , while driving measurable business outcomes through disciplined software engineering, platform governance, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and manage technology products and platforms, including enterprise applications, systems software, mobile/web solutions, databases, and AI/data platforms.
  • Lead requirements analysis and high‑level solution design by converting internal and external customer needs into scalable software and platform architectures.
  • Define and govern overall solution structures, core elements, interfaces, dependencies, and non‑functional requirements across complex technology landscapes.
  • Oversee software development activities including programming, configuration, scripting, and database development to deliver organization‑specific solutions.
  • Direct planning and execution of software and platform testing strategies, including automation, risk tracking, defect analysis, and quality reporting.
  • Ensure effective deployment, maintenance, and continuous evolution of applications and platforms through disciplined SDLC, DevOps, and change management practices.
  • Manage work across multiple Technology Product and Platform Management families, ensuring prioritization, dependency alignment, and consistent delivery standards.
  • Lead engineering and operationalization of AI‑enabled products (SAP Joule), decision intelligence solutions, and data platforms (SAP BDC) integrated with SAP and IMSC ecosystems.
  • Align AI capabilities with data maturity to ensure deterministic and auditable business outcomes.
  • Define platform strategy, architecture decisions, and build/buy/blend approaches in partnership with enterprise architecture and business AI leadership.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices including data privacy, security, explainability, fairness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and enforce technology, data, and AI governance frameworks across product and platform portfolios.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act).
  • Track and report technology and delivery risks throughout development and testing lifecycles.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary engineering, data, and AI teams.
  • Manage complex portfolios with accountability for delivery, value realization, and budget outcomes.
  • Drive AI literacy, change management, and workforce enablement across the Transcend program.
