The Manager, Large Load Integration is a strategic utility leadership role responsible for the end-to-end integration of large electrical loads into the Georgia Power system, including AI data centers, hyperscale customers, co-locators, and other large transmission-connected customers. This role is accountable for enterprise-level governance, technical requirement enforcement, operating readiness, risk management, customer-specific mitigation strategies, and executive-level decision support for a portfolio of large load customers. The position will be expected to assume responsibilities currently performed by the Vice President, Grid Transformation, including leading high-stakes technical negotiations, resolving cross-functional enterprise conflicts, and making recommendations that directly affect grid reliability, customer commitments, affordability, and Georgia Power’s ability to serve unprecedented growth. The role serves as the single point of accountability for large load operational readiness and the primary integration leader between customers, Transmission, Distribution, Planning, Compliance, Operations, Legal, Customer Choice, Strategic Growth, regulatory-facing teams, and external industry stakeholders. The position requires the judgment, influence, and organizational credibility to enforce technical requirements without routine VP escalation, including when requirements materially affect customer design, timeline, operating flexibility, or contractual obligations.
