The Labor Relations Manager will provide strategic leadership oversight and administration, and initiate processes in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) and Labor Relations. This role involves researching, investigating, and responding to Title VII EEOC employment complaints, overseeing EEOC position statements, and resolving complaints filed by non-bargaining unit employees through the Complaint Resolution grievance process. The manager will develop strong working relationships with Division and Union leadership, conduct research into labor issues and contract interpretation, and ensure compliance with the memorandum of understanding (“MOU”), federal and state employment and labor laws, and regulations. This position is responsible for the overall operations of the Labor Relations office, including coordinating grievance administration procedures, managing the negotiation of the MOU, and resolving disputes and complaints between the Division and the Union. The role also involves partnering with Division leadership, Human Resources (“HR”), and assigned internal and external legal counsel, preparing responses to grievances, conducting research for mediation and arbitration cases, and coordinating reporting, including EEOC reporting and monthly Labor Relations metrics. The Manager will also oversee Employee Resource Groups (“ERGs”).
