About The Position

UPMC is hiring a full-time, salaried Manager, IT for its Enterprise Imaging department. This role offers work-life balance and a comprehensive total rewards package that extends beyond compensation. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic projects across the Enterprise Imaging portfolio, including imaging platform modernization, workflow transformation, system integrations, application implementations, and other critical organizational initiatives. The successful candidate must be highly collaborative and able to work effectively across organizational boundaries. Success in this role will require building strong partnerships with peer managers, clinical leaders, technical teams, operational stakeholders, and vendors. The ideal candidate recognizes that enterprise initiatives are achieved through shared ownership, collaboration, and influence rather than through direct authority alone.

Requirements

Nine years of total related experience, with at least two years' experience in a leadership role OR equivalent combination of education/experience.
Strong project management, problem solving, organizational, relationship, communication, and negotiation skills (oral and written) are required.
Strong understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives. Ability to apply extensive experience to highly complex problems.
Ability to successfully lead enterprise-wide initiatives.
Delegation skills.

Build strong relationships with peer managers.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience within Enterprise Imaging, Radiology IT
Experience leading large-scale, enterprise-wide technology implementations involving multiple hospitals, clinical departments, and stakeholder groups.
Experience supervising senior analysts, technical professionals, or highly skilled individual contributors.
Current or past UPMC employees and contractors.

Responsibilities

Leads complex, enterprise-wide projects and strategic initiatives across the Enterprise Imaging portfolio.
Manage and mentor a team of senior analysts and project resources.
Build strong partnerships with peer managers and stakeholders to drive shared organizational objectives and successful project outcomes.
Provide project governance, risk management, and Executive-level reporting.
Drive successful implementation, adoption, and operational support of Enterprise Imaging solutions.
Participate in an MOD call rotation.
Provides project governance, executive reporting, risk management, and change leadership for high-visibility initiatives.
Provides input on budget planning. Responsible for managing the budget.
Completes performance evaluations.
