About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and managing teams of analysts and software engineers supporting the Clinical and Provider applications. The teams are a hybrid model of on-shore and off-shore resources. The Manager collaborates extensively with the Operations areas, the clients, Product Engineering and Infrastructure areas. This role involves guiding the team in optimizing system performance, ensuring high system availability, and delivering solutions that streamline clinical workflows and enhance the provider and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline
  • 5 years in a leadership / mentoring role
  • 5 years of planning, implementing, maintaining and growing capabilities within relevant discipline
  • 3 years of developing, communicating and presenting concepts to varying audience
  • Knowledge of company’s business practices and direction as well as familiarity with the company’s products and resources
  • Knowledge of the assigned business unit/area's direction and practices
  • This position is required to comply with all Highmark Corporate Policies and IT Procedures, Standards and Strategies

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline
  • Management experience in: employee development plans, performance evaluations, goals development
  • Experience in budget administration and process improvement
  • Knowledge and experience in developing strategic plans
  • Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analysts and software engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day support operations, incident management, and lifecycle maintenance for core Clinical and Provider applications.
  • Partner closely with Clinical and Provider leadership, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure work is prioritized appropriately and the team is meeting client expectations.
  • Collaborate with third-party software vendors to manage service-level agreements (SLAs), troubleshoot complex issues, and integrate new product updates or patches.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
