Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading teams responsible for audiovisual and conferencing technologies (e.g., Cisco, Poly, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or similar), with the ability to provide strategic direction, remove barriers, and support sound technical decision-making.
  • Experience overseeing the delivery of live, executive-level, or high-visibility events and productions, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where service continuity and customer experience are critical.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts, risks, project updates, and operational priorities to senior leaders and executive stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing teams of technical analysts and engineers, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience establishing operational priorities, managing competing demands, and aligning team objectives with organizational and departmental strategic goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships across Information Services, clinical operations, executive leadership, and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Provides work direction to staff aligned with the tactical and strategic objectives of the department.
  • Elevates team members thinking and understanding of the field by infusing best practice knowledge into the work.
  • Manages the selection, development, and coaching of team members.
  • Ensure that job requirements and goals for each position are clear to employees and that Medical Center initiatives, priorities, standards, and policies are effectively communicated and understood.
  • Provide leadership to team members in completion of technology initiatives, projects or programs.
  • Collaborate with appropriate teams or individuals to plan, implement, and/or evaluate services.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain systems and technology aligned to organizational needs.
  • Recommend technology and solutions which meet workforce and patient care needs, are cost effective and consistent with best practices.
  • Recommends the development and maintenance of policies and practices in support of processes.
  • Develop, maintain and deliver effective communications and training to users.
  • Assist with fiscal responsibilities of the department as requested.
  • Monitor budget expenditures; identify and research variances/problems.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring expense and allocations.
  • Provide applicable reports.
  • Research information for major purchases.
  • May assist with annual budget preparation.
  • Provide leadership for completion of defined projects ensuring consistency with determined strategy, commitments and goals.
  • May manage the project budget.
  • Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Stay current on upcoming development within supported applications/technologies and strategize on a roadmap to maintain currency.
  • Provide input on departmental strategy and planning with focus on areas of functional responsibility.
  • Represent team in departmental discussions regarding selection/implementation of selected upgrades, enhancements or other solution products.
  • Spends at least 50% of time managing the work of 2+ others.
  • Role available in centralized functions only.
