Manager – Investor Reporting
About The Position
Under the direction of the senior department manager, this role leads and manages a team of Investor Reporting Analysts. The team's primary responsibility is to accurately and timely report and remit funds as dictated by servicing agreements for assigned master, primary, and/or special servicing contracts. This includes reviewing and understanding investor reporting aspects of new contracts, establishing reporting requirements, designing reports, and assigning tasks. The role also involves monitoring existing contracts for compliance and efficiency, handling communications with external and internal parties, and providing quality customer service to various stakeholders.
Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance or related business field and/or comparable experience
- Minimum of three years Investor Reporting experience
- Knowledge of CREFC Life/Pension and/or Agency Reporting
- Detail-oriented with ability to see big picture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high degree of analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills, efficiently handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Experience in commercial mortgage loan servicing, accounting or loan operations
- Working knowledge of McCracken/Strategy loan servicing system
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficient
Responsibilities
- Review and understand investor reporting aspects of new master, primary and special contracts, establish reporting requirements, design reports as necessary, and assign to appropriate staff.
- Monitor existing master, primary and special contracts to assure compliance and efficiency of delivery of funds and reports.
- Review and understand Agency and Life Pension Reporting aspects, establish reporting requirements, design reports as necessary and assign to appropriate staff.
- Hire, train, and supervise Investor Reporting team including setting performance standards, providing performance reviews, addressing employee concerns, motivating, and providing special recognition.
- Evaluate Investor Reporting team tasks against human resources in conjunction with existing and projected servicing volumes.
- Provide leadership to the Investor Reporting team to define all reporting processes, establish procedures, and provide training for implementation.
- Evaluate and monitor the reporting processes and procedures, working with IT to automate and streamline processes as necessary.
- Receive and effectively handle communications from external parties in a timely manner.
- Provide clear and concise communications to internal parties relative to KBREC goals, objectives, expectations and other issues.
- Provide quality and timely responses to all Investor Reporting customers (senior management, portfolio teams, third party customers, i.e. rating agencies, trustees, investors, borrowers, vendors, etc.).
- Coordinate work activities with servicing and corporate accounting staff as necessary.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
