About The Position

The International Patient Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a full-service, multilingual office designed to assist international patients and their families in navigating care and logistics at MGH. It serves patients from 120 countries and is part of the unified Mass General Brigham International Patient Services team. We are seeking a manager to oversee clinical operations for our MGH International Patient Center. Summary: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating administrative operations within a hospital office setting. This role ensures the efficient functioning of administrative processes, managing staff, and supporting the overall strategic goals of the hospital. This role also works closely with senior management to implement policies, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Does this position require Patient Care? Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
  • Experience in healthcare administration or related area 5-7 years required
  • Experience in a management or leadership role 2-3 years required
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day administrative functions and office operations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor administrative procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee and manage administrative staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in resolving operational issues and ensuring adherence to hospital policies.
  • Ensure that administrative practices comply with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Address and resolve complex administrative issues and patient concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
