Mgr, International Logistics
About The Position
The Manager, International Logistics plays a critical role supporting import operations across all FBIN companies. This position partners closely with Purchasing to align product delivery expectations to distribution centers throughout North America, while managing carrier relationships and driving performance on cost and service metrics. The role also leads the annual RFP process in collaboration with Indirect Sourcing for drayage and transload services and works with forwarders and drayage technology providers to enhance shipment visibility and track key performance indicators. This position requires a strong operational mindset combined with the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for FBIN’s drayage and logistics information systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in a people leadership role.
- Strong understanding of drayage and transload services.
- Proven track record with RFP bid processes.
- Ability to multitask across multiple transportation modes.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Nice To Haves
- Experience managing drayage carriers preferred.
- Experience with MercuryGate and InforNexus preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, forwarders, and distribution centers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet delivery timelines and service expectations across FBIN.
- Oversee integration of external systems with SAP and the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance updates across various organizational levels.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve service levels and reduce transportation costs.
- Align carrier capacity strategies with internal and external customer requirements.
- Offer innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for FBIN’s drayage operations.
