Join The Pasha Group as Manager, Intermodal Operations , where you’ll oversee intermodal dispatch operations and lead teams responsible for rail, drayage, OTR, and local trucking execution across our transportation network. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in freight, transportation, rail, or intermodal environments
  • Proven experience managing transportation operations in and out of port facilities
  • Direct people management experience leading dispatch or operations teams
  • Strong understanding of intermodal rail operations, dispatch workflows, and vendor management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Transportation Management Systems
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except as prohibited by law.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the dispatch and transportation teams supporting intermodal rail, FCL, OTR, local trucking, and drayage operations.
  • Ensure performance meets or exceeds KPIs and SLAs through proactive planning, monitoring, and corrective action.
  • Develop and lead effective track-and-trace procedures, ensuring timely, proactive communication to Sales and internal and external customers on load status.
  • Identify, prevent, and resolve transportation disruptions and operational complexities to protect customer service and transit commitments.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with rail carriers, trucking partners, and brokers; serve as Transportation’s lead rail point of contact across the enterprise.
  • Manage transportation expenses, accruals, and reporting across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles; analyze trends and explain variances.
  • Partner with Equipment Management to ensure container, chassis, and CY availability; oversee repositioning, storage, and M&R cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with port operations and Dispatch Rail Coordinators on rail billing, on-dock/off-dock opportunities, and drayage execution to optimize cost and transit time.
  • Oversee staff training and use of TMS platforms; recommend and participate in TMS enhancements, EDI integrations, and system updates.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to optimize freight costs while maintaining agreed service levels.
  • Partner with Sales to support protected, current, and challenging accounts and contribute to new account development.
  • Participate in RFQs/RFPs, contracting, and negotiations; maintain SLAs and carrier performance scorecards.
  • Deliver regular reporting on service levels, productivity, and financial performance to support informed decision-making.
