ABOUT OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY TEAM Intellectual property litigation requires clear, expert economic analysis. For decades, Secretariat’s IP professionals have delivered exactly that. Requirements

  • Degree in Law, Economics, Business, or Public Policy (e.g., JD, LLM, MBA MA, PhD preferred).
  • 4-6 years of experience in antitrust/competition law, either in a consulting firm, law firm, regulatory agency, or corporate advisory role.
  • Proven experience working on high-profile IP matters.
  • Strong project management and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to non-experts
  • Authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship in the future

Responsibilities

  • Lead one to three cases at a time
  • Manage teams of Associates
  • Organize case research and data analysis
  • Work closely with economists on a regular basis
  • Work with complex databases and raw client data in Stata, R, and other programs
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel and ArcGIS for graphical and statistical analysis
  • Analyze industry participants and characteristics affecting market competition
  • Calculate cost and damages estimates
  • Consult with clients and private sources to obtain necessary data
  • Investigate industries and companies using online and government resources
  • Review litigation and case documents
  • Mentor junior members of the team and contribute to the growth and development of the IP team
