About The Position

Moog Corporate IT is seeking a Manager of Integration Engineering to lead the integration team as a working people leader and player-coach. The manager will combine hands-on technical responsibility with direct people management, run the team's day-to-day operations, set technical direction, coordinate priorities across platforms, and serve as the primary contact for operating-group and Corporate IT stakeholders. The role will establish the team's operating rhythm, including a shared integration catalog, a consistent intake and prioritization process, and clear stakeholder relationships. The position is hybrid in Buffalo, New York. Candidates must live in the Buffalo area and work onsite, or be willing to relocate; remote work is not possible. The role reports to the Senior Director of Architecture & Engineering and requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The manager will guide integration-platform design and delivery, build standards and operating practices, oversee stakeholder coordination and production support, and develop the team through coaching, cross-training, and performance feedback. The position also partners with the Integration Architect on platform strategy and modernization, ensures compliance with applicable aerospace and defense regulations, and manages vendor, contract, licensing, and capacity matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on integration development experience with iPaaS, eQ, Azure Data Factory or comparable application-to-application or ETL tooling, and IBM MQ Series or comparable enterprise messaging.
  • At least 3 years leading highly technical engineering teams, including third-party staff augmentation and federated delivery models.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring developers in a formal management role or as a senior technical lead.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and communicate status and risk in non-technical terms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed, asynchronous, and batch integration patterns.
  • Ability to work with limited documentation and build process and structure where none exists.
  • Must live in the Buffalo, NY area and work onsite, or be willing to relocate; remote work is not possible.
  • Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP-, MES-, or PLM-adjacent integration patterns, such as SAP, Oracle, or Teamcenter, and with the operational constraints of integrating with production manufacturing systems.
  • Experience building or maintaining an integration catalog, service inventory, or similar system of record for technical assets.
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins for integration deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across the team's integration platforms, including design reviews, code and configuration reviews, and troubleshooting escalations.
  • Develop, implement, and improve enterprise integration patterns and standards, embedding observability, telemetry, logging, and monitoring into solutions.
  • Own and maintain a current inventory of supported integrations, including each integration's purpose, business criticality, and owner.
  • Establish and operate a consistent intake and prioritization process with a shared backlog and transparent prioritization.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for leaders, application owners, other IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders regarding planned work and production support.
  • Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by cross-training developers, documenting runbooks, and ensuring critical integrations do not depend on one person.
  • Manage developers' day-to-day workload and priorities; provide coaching, technical mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Partner with the Integration Architect on integration-platform strategy, modernization roadmaps, redesign, and tooling decisions.
  • Ensure integration work complies with CMMC, ITAR, and applicable data-handling and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Represent the integration team in program-level planning, provide realistic estimates, and flag roadblocks early.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract renewals, and platform licensing and capacity; evaluate tools for total cost of ownership and technical fit.
  • Establish SDLC practices across platforms, including version control, code review, testing, environment parity, and formal production change management.
  • Define SLAs and SLOs according to business criticality; run incident response and escalation processes; implement observability and alerting; and regularly report integration health and SLA performance.

  • Compensation package and bonus opportunities.
  • Matching 401(k).
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan at select locations.
  • Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts.
  • Flexible paid time off, holidays, and parental leave program.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, Employee Assistance Plan, and supplemental benefit coverages.
  • Tuition assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development, and personal growth programs.
