The Manager of Facilities Operations - ITC, reporting to the Director of Facilities Maintenance Operations, is responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of CHEO’s facilities. This role manages daily systems operations, preventive maintenance, service requests, contractor oversight, stakeholder engagement, and emergency response. It also plays a role in CHEO’s significant redevelopment plan and long-term sustainability initiatives. The position oversees 0.5 million sq. ft. of Integrated Treatment Center (ITC) buildings in a 24/7 environment, leading a supervisor and unionized trades. Key responsibilities include managing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gases, elevators, and building envelope systems, with a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance, emergency readiness, and regulatory compliance. The Manager also contributes to capital renewal projects, energy efficiency, and infrastructure planning to ensure facilities support CHEO’s patient care mission. Success requires a collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented leader with strong communication skills and expertise in facility management, utilizing CMMS and Workday data for strategic planning and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
