The George Washington University MFA has an immediate opening for a Pharmacy Manager for Infusion Services. The position will service as the Pharmacist in Charge for the Ambulatory Infusion Center Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager for Infusion Services will be responsible for leading and nurturing individual team members to meet performance and behavioral expectations. Operationally, the individual will be responsible for streamlining the medication use process and implementing innovative practices and technology while being fiscally responsible. The position will maintain a routine staffing component in the infusion center to ensure the individual is an expert on all operational components and can provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients seen at the GWU MFA. The highly motivated individual will meet regularly with the Executive Director of Pharmacy to determine solutions to pharmacy workflow and the infusion team's needs; oversee strategic planning and innovation to meet institutional, departmental, patient care, and regulatory needs including capital and operating budgets for individual cost centers; ensure compliance with Federal and State Laws and Regulations pertaining to OSHA, Joint Commission, USP 797, USP 800, and policies and procedures set forth by the Department and the Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, the individual is expected to participate in the educational and continuous quality improvement endeavors of the Department of Pharmacy by precepting student pharmacists.
