As an Infrastructure Manager at Riot, you'll possess a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that allow you to build a highly functioning engineering team. You don't shy away from getting in the weeds and have breadth of experience in Datacenter Networking, Provider Networking, Linux, Windows, Databases, or Datacenters. Infrastructure Managers apply their expertise to drive the technical vision and direction of various infrastructure products, while also building strong relationships with teams across Riot to ensure your team is delivering value to developers and players. As a Manager, Infrastructure Engineering on the Infrastructure Reliability team, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and lead a team responsible for building infrastructure solutions that ensure the reliable, scalable, and secure operation of Riot’s global compute footprint. You will support your team as they partner with central technology and game teams to solve critical problems across Riot’s compute platforms. You will support operational excellence across the team, including participation in on-call processes and incident response best practices. You will guide investments in tooling and platforms that simplify how internal teams consume cloud infrastructure. Your technical judgment will help guide automation investments, scalable infrastructure patterns, and operational improvements. You will mentor junior and senior systems, cloud, and software engineers while fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
