Our client is seeking an experienced Manager, Infrastructure & Security to join their team. Our client is a global leader in child mobility, making family travel safer with their range of child seats and pushchairs. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this role is responsible for the end-to-end leadership, operation, and security of the company's infrastructure and end-user services. The position leads a small, geographically distributed infrastructure and cybersecurity team and oversees outsourced service providers to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective technology operations across all regions. The role operates in a lean, hands-on model and requires active technical involvement and direct execution when needed. This role is accountable for cloud operations, networks, end-user computing, cybersecurity, vendor performance, and operational resilience, while partnering closely with application, data, and business leaders.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on technical depth across cloud infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, end-user computing, and security.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a lean, global environment with limited internal resources.
  • Clear and confident communicator able to work across regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a pragmatic, execution-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable owning risk and accountability for operational and security outcomes.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with direct execution.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, operations, and security roles.
  • Hands-on experience operating global infrastructure environments built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure and cybersecurity functions in a lean organization.
  • Experience managing outsourced service providers and global vendors.
  • Background supporting enterprise platforms such as ERP, collaboration, and data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate the global IT infrastructure environment, with the majority of compute and services hosted in Microsoft Azure across multiple regions.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization and decommissioning efforts, including the retirement of legacy platforms and reduction of technical debt.
  • Own global network, connectivity, and collaboration platforms, ensuring reliable and secure access for all sites and remote users.
  • Own the global Microsoft 365 platform (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID), including configuration, security posture, compliance controls, lifecycle governance, and end-user collaboration standards.
  • Accountable for cybersecurity, including identity and access management, endpoint protection, network security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Manage and develop a small, globally distributed infrastructure and security team, setting clear priorities and operating rhythms.
  • Ensure stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure in support of enterprise platforms such as Dynamics 365, data and analytics solutions, and global integrations.
  • Own disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities, including regular testing and validation.
  • Manage infrastructure and security vendors, contracts, and operating costs, ensuring service quality and financial discipline.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for infrastructure and security incidents and lead hands-on technical troubleshooting when required.
