Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Manager, Infection Prevention and Control to join the Infection Control team supporting the Acute, Community and Long-Term Care portfolios, regionally across VCH. Reporting to the Director for Infection Prevention and Control, in accordance with the Mission, Values and Vision and strategic direction of VCH, the Manager is accountable for providing leadership and direction to the IPAC team across the region. The IPAC Manager plays a key leadership role in the development of a structure that supports IPAC at the point-of-care and at a system level. The Manager provides leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous quality improvement of IPAC across VCH. The role is responsible for supporting and informing the strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Regional IPAC initiatives. The role manages people and resources and ensures consistent delivery of IPAC services and priorities across areas. The Manager is the primary escalation point for site/program leaders and ensures coordinated execution of surveillance priorities, outbreak readiness, education planning, and ensures quality improvement initiatives align with regional governance.
