About The Position

We are currently seeking a Manager IT Technical Projects - Industrial Technology, Infrastructure and Applications - Canada to join our Information Technology (IT) team in Sudbury, ON. This is a permanent, hybrid (3 days in office per week) position, working a Monday – Friday schedule. This role leads the end-to-end management and execution of Industrial Technology, IT Infrastructure and Applications projects across Canadian and International mining operations (excluding Brazil). It encompasses project delivery across critical technology domains such as networks, hosting and cloud platforms, industrial cybersecurity, end‑user computing, industrial and corporate applications, geotechnical and environmental monitoring, predictive maintenance, autonomous mining technologies, IIoT, and sustainable mining innovations. The opportunity is ideal for a senior leader who can drive digital transformation, enhance operational safety and efficiency, and deliver complex industrial technology, IT infrastructure, and applications projects through their diverse team of project delivery managers and vendor partners. This role requires strong partnership with OT, IT, and business operational leaders globally, ensuring alignment with business strategy and mining industry standards. You will establish and champion IT project excellence that delivers cutting‑edge solutions, influences global governance, promotes interoperability across regions, and optimizes technology investments. You are an accomplished technology leader with deep experience in infrastructure, operational technologies, applications and industrial innovation, preferably within mining or heavy industrial environments. You excel at managing cross‑functional teams, complex project portfolios, vendor partnerships and high‑value technology ecosystems. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Mining, or related field), Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification.
  • 11–15 years of progressively responsible experience in infrastructure, operational technology, or industrial technology roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects, programs, and portfolios in mining or industrial environments.
  • Proven success managing cross‑functional and globally distributed teams, including engineers, project managers, technicians, and vendor partners.
  • Strong background in applying PMO methods (risk, change, portfolio, and strategic management).
  • Experience integrating and deploying mining‑specific technologies such as autonomous vehicles, tele‑remote systems, predictive maintenance platforms, IIoT, and environmental/geotechnical monitoring.
  • Hands‑on experience with regulatory and safety frameworks (MSHA, ISO 55000, IEC 62443, cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS/SANS 20, ISO 27001).
