About The Position

The Manager, Indirect Strategic Sourcing is responsible for executing the company’s sourcing strategy and category management practices located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This role partners with Finance (FP&A), Legal, and business stakeholders to identify cost optimization opportunities, maximize value, and minimize risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of indirect procurement experience in pharmaceutical/biopharma industry.
  • Experience managing sourcing projects and financial KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development and commercialization.
  • Developing indirect procurement strategies
  • Spend analysis and procurement execution
  • Managing RFIs/RFPs
  • Demand management, outsourcing/insourcing programs
  • Contract negotiation within pharmaceutical sourcing

Responsibilities

  • Execute sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and financial/operational objectives.
  • Manage key vendor relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing policies; track and report exceptions.
  • Drive high-quality outcomes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Support sourcing leadership in achieving 10–15% annual savings targets.
  • Lead and support high-value sourcing initiatives, including contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align on sourcing strategy and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure sourcing performance and outcomes.
  • Provide regular reporting on sourcing initiatives, risks, and progress to leadership.
  • Deliver training on sourcing policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, third-party risk management).
  • Apply best practices, including spend analysis, RFx execution, contract management, and preferred supplier programs.
  • Lead sourcing projects, including RFx development, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Establish operational metrics to monitor performance and drive improvement.
  • Ensure sourcing projects have clear financial and operational goals aligned with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Business Owners, Legal, and FP&A to meet project timelines.
  • Support supplier diversity, development, and performance initiatives.
  • Apply knowledge of compliance areas such as patient services, IT, HIPAA, and adverse events.
