Requirements

Solid understanding of copyright economics and industry standard accounting principles and practices
Clear and effective communicator, comfortable translating complex deal terms into actionable guidance
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Continuous-improvement mindset – strive for efficiency & effectiveness in work
Exceptional interpersonal relationship building
Demonstrated ability to lead and foster teamwork and unity within a department
Strategic mindset and lean on data to inform and track business goals
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to quickly learn systems that handle large-volume data
Python skills are a plus
5 or more years of income tracking, royalties, and/or other related experience required
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements

Responsibilities

Collaboration with staff across multiple departments to meet expectations for productivity, quality, and departmental goals
Support Deal Tracking responsibilities by validating contractual terms, carve-outs, and exceptions, and ensuring accurate application within royalty tracking and reporting workflows
Serve as a subject-matter resource for complex deal-related questions and validations
Assist the department in identifying and recovering income related to deal-specific discrepancies
Field inquiries from Legal, Finance, Licensing, and other internal departments to ensure proper processing, alignment, and quality assurance
Prepare and review cyclical royalty summaries, deal-driven analysis, and financial reporting for internal stakeholders
Support ad hoc requests, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as needed
