About The Position

We are Haley Automotive Group of Central Virginia, and Virginia’s oldest automotive group. We have 11 stores located in Richmond, Roanoke and Farmville. Brands we work with are Toyota, Volvo, Chevy, Buick, GMC, Ford and Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram. We are offering an exciting management growth experience ultimately becoming a leader in the automotive business. Participants will have exposure and experience in all facets of the automotive business. The program has estimated time frames assigned to each position, but ultimately, those times will vary depending on the performance of the participant. Your path through the process will be determined by position availability within the departments. Total Estimated Time is 29-48 months to complete the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (any Business track) required.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a business setting required.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other computer software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be one of the best at all job functions within a reasonable and monitored time frame.
  • Work to understand all you can about the operations of each department and the associated systems.
  • Notate and share ideas that you feel would enhance the customer experience.
  • Notate and share suggestions in regard to efficiency, job satisfaction, work requirements, and use of personnel.
  • Be involved in your community. Donate eight hours of your time annually towards what you feel is a worthy cause; charities, churches, food banks, homeless shelters, retirement homes, and the like.
  • Strive to work well with fellow employees. “With” them, not “above” them. Enhance the team!
  • Receive positive evaluations from your supervisors, and learn from any constructive criticism.
  • Scheduling service appointments, customer follow-up, and consulting with customers on recommended services and repairs.
  • Scheduling appointments with customers, writing repair estimates for vehicles with body damage, interacting with insurance companies, following up with customers, and expediting the work flow of vehicles in the body shop for repairs.
  • Learning about Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Title Clerk, Human Resources and Payroll, Record Keeping, and Data Entry.
  • Learning the “10 Step Road to the Sale” process.
  • Learning more about the features and benefits of the vehicles in our inventory, which will enable you to provide any prospective customer with an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Becoming proficient in the art of negotiating while maintaining an excellent reputation and high manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index scores (CSI).
