About The Position

As a Manager in Training, you’ll oversee daily operations of a Goodwill retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient donation processing, and a positive team environment. You’ll lead by example, manage staff performance, and help drive sales and mission impact through effective leadership and operational excellence.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience in a business (retail) setting preferred.
Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
Knowledge of sales, budgeting, and inventory control.
Commitment to Goodwill’s mission of changing lives through the power of work.
Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
Must have a reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, and supervise team members and Assistant Team Leaders.
Ensure world-class customer and donor service.
Manage daily store operations, including scheduling, payroll, and cash handling.
Monitor budgets, sales goals, and expense controls.
Maintain store image, safety, and loss prevention standards.
Oversee donation flow, inventory, and merchandising.
Ensure compliance with Goodwill policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Promote Goodwill’s Core Values and Guiding Principles through teamwork and communication.
