About The Position

Affordable Home Furnishings is looking for a motivated leader to join our Fast Track Store Manager program. This position is designed for individuals with retail, sales, or rent-to-own experience who want to grow into a Store Manager role. You'll learn every part of the business-from sales and collections to inventory, deliveries, team leadership, and daily operations-while working directly with experienced managers. Relocation may be required for fastest advancement, most likely to one of our 3 stores in the area. Openings to start in Lake Charles.

Requirements

• Sales experience required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record (Class D chauffeur's required)
• Heavy lifting: loading, unloading - moving furniture and appliances

Nice To Haves

• Retail management experience preferred
• Collections or account management experience preferred
• Rent-to-own experience is a major plus

Responsibilities

• Extensive contact with customers by phone and field visits
• Learn and perform all aspects of store operations
• Handle all sales, collections and service on a route while learning our system
• Lead by example in sales and customer service
• Help manage customer accounts and collections
• Train and motivate team members
• Set up and maintain showroom displays
• Put together new merchandise
• Clean and refurbish previously rented merchandise
• Monitor inventory and merchandise flow
• Assist with deliveries, pickups, and warehouse operations when needed
• Work toward managing your own store location
• Any other tasks assigned by management
