About The Position

The Manager in Training position is a development role designed to provide comprehensive exposure to all aspects of branch operations and business planning. This role involves learning all day-to-day activities of the branch with the goal of maximizing branch performance and profitability. The Manager in Training will provide leadership support to a rental store by undertaking learning objectives typically performed by an Assistant Branch Manager. This includes building meaningful relationships, fostering a professional and caring culture, and exceeding established customer goals and objectives. The incumbent is expected to consistently demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values, collaborate with key internal and external resources, and participate in ongoing self-development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work-related experience required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladder
  • Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
  • Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook, and the use of computer applications
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

  • Knowledge of construction supplies specifically related to supplies within the concrete construction industry preferred (Supply)

Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)

  • Assists the Branch Manager in the preparation of monthly profit and loss statements and yearly budgets

  • Promotes a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability, and communication
