About The Position

The Imaging Services Manager supports the mission of the organization by applying leadership and managerial skills in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The Imaging Services Manager will assist the Director in the development and implementation of department policy and procedures as well as capital and operational budgets. In conjunction with Imaging Director, Department Chair, and various section chiefs, the Imaging Services Manager will develop, implement and monitor activities and standards to ensure compliance with and/or accreditation of various governing bodies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology with minimum of an Associate’s degree (required)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a general radiographer (required)
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience (required)
  • Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License (KBMIRT) (required)
  • Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field (preferred)
  • Advanced ARRT certification (MR, US, NM, IR, etc.) (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors operations of departments supervised to ensure optimal efficiency including staffing, patient flow and supply usage
  • Plans, implements and monitors activities related to obtaining and maintaining accreditation of various bodies
  • Resolves departmental and interdepartmental problems, as needed
  • Monitors and reviews reports to ensure timely completion of charge reconciliation, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
  • Assists in the development and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of patient care in collaboration with associated department and services
  • Assists facility leaders in the development of operational and capital budgets
  • Ensures department is operating within budgeted financial goals and/or provides on-going updates on variances to leadership
  • Takes the lead role in evaluation and implementation of department capital projects
  • Evaluates performance of department leaders and completes required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Provides support and training of departmental coordinators and staff, as needed
  • Assists the Director in monitoring of department customer satisfaction surveys and recommends and implements associated improvement activities
  • Plans, directs and/or performs purchasing functions in the department to include order inventory for areas supervised
  • Recommends and initiates disciplinary actions for staff, as needed
  • Develops and fosters excellent rapport with internal and external physicians to support and/or enhance department operations
  • Models and ensures compliance with Core Behavioral Standards for staff
  • Serves on various multi-disciplinary hospital committees, as needed
  • Plans and leads regular department staff meetings
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
  • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
