About The Position

This management position is responsible for managing, directing, and planning operating processes to produce quality products for use in automotive or power sport vehicles in ONE of the following Departments: Brake Components - Various other assembly operations, or Aluminum Products Knuckle Casting, Knuckle Machining and Knuckle Assembly operations. The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, quality, delivery, and productivity, aligning with company goals such as OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance. The position involves promoting a safety-first attitude, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, correcting unsafe conditions, and supporting the goals of the Safety and Environment Group. It also requires ensuring products meet customer and NBG quality specifications, following work instructions, communicating quality issues, and maintaining accurate records. The role is responsible for meeting planned production quantities for on-time delivery, achieving planned production, resolving issues promptly, providing effective work instructions, promoting teamwork, preventing workflow interruptions, and suggesting improvements. Additionally, it involves daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting for the assigned department, preparing and reporting the annual business plan, and managing department/area budget items.

Requirements

  • Previous management in a related field.
  • 3 + years of experience in manufacturing/plant operations.
  • 3 + years of previous supervisor experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong leadership qualities include the ability to build teams and influence at all levels of the organization, a keen business acumen, professional competence and personal integrity.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze KPI.
  • Must submit resume with application.
  • BA or BS Management or Equivalent Experience.
  • BSME or Equivalent Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, directing, and planning operating processes to produce quality products.
  • Ensuring associates have obtained the knowledge and are following all required OSHA regulations.
  • Ensuring that work areas have safe and clean working conditions and correcting unsafe work conditions immediately.
  • Supporting goals of the Safety and Environment Group.
  • Ensuring the in process and the final product meets customer and NBG quality specifications.
  • Ensuring that work instructions and point cards are followed and communicating appropriately and immediately when quality issues occur.
  • Supporting goals of the Quality Group.
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping.
  • Ensuring completion or planned production quantities as required for delivery on time to customer.
  • Supporting goals of Materials Group.
  • Ensuring planned production is achieved.
  • Resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing effective work instructions.
  • Promoting teamwork and a team environment.
  • Preventing interruptions to workflow and productivity.
  • Suggesting improvements to productivity, quality, safety, process, etc.
  • Daily, monthly, quarterly reporting for the assigned department / area of responsibility.
  • Preparing and reporting annual business plan to meet company objectives.
  • Preparing and reporting on department/ area budget items.
