This position leads process improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate losses within a Distribution Center, adhering to the Network Process Structure and Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. The role involves delivering expected functional area results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, loss elimination, and creating standard work to reduce process variation. The Manager II will also assist in reviewing and responding to process improvement projects owned by area managers, apply new network One Best Way playbooks, and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. Additionally, the role focuses on leading savings projects within the area of responsibility by removing losses from the process, promoting company policies, and supporting the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology. The position also involves managing project execution for top losses, building the capability of other managers and associates, supporting area loss profile analysis and performance metrics, and developing gap analysis for WPS integration. The Manager II will support Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements. This role requires coordinating and overseeing job-related activities by developing stakeholder relationships, supporting initiatives, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, and demonstrating adaptability. Furthermore, it includes supervising and developing associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a sense of belonging. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and implementing related action plans are also key aspects of this role.
