About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Management team in Transactional Services at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in New York City. In this role, you will help lead the day-to-day delivery of reinsurance service processing, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant execution of operational activities. You will be part of a team that collaborates closely with brokers, clients, and markets to resolve complex issues and continuously improve our operational model. This is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. We will count on you to: Manage day-to-day operational processes within your area of responsibility, ensuring adherence to published procedures, professional standards, and processing metrics. Monitor and help develop methods to handle complex tasks and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and regulatory requirements are consistently met. Support the planning and facilitation of team meetings and activities that encourage sharing of ideas, process improvements, and adoption of technology-enabled solutions. Assist with performance management and development planning for team members, including coaching, feedback, and support for training initiatives. Help track and manage operating expenses within established budget parameters for your team or area. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal peers, brokers, clients, and markets to help resolve reinsurance service issues and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations, financial services, insurance, or reinsurance, with exposure to process-driven, metric-oriented environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with common business and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, operational or workflow systems).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in (re)insurance operations, reinsurance accounting, or a similar processing and client-service-oriented function.
  • Experience supporting or leading process improvement initiatives, including the use of technology to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Exposure to people leadership activities (e.g., coaching colleagues, supporting training, or contributing to performance discussions).
