About The Position

The Manager of Human Resources contributes administrative, analytical, and subject-matter expertise to support our mission as a service-driven HR organization focused on the employee experience. This role involves providing exemplary service to employees, answering questions on HR policies and procedures, and managing HR requests. The position also includes developing programs for performance management and training, assisting with employee onboarding, serving as the data coordinator for HR, executing projects focused on operational health and employee experience, and acting as a power-user for the HCM platform. Additionally, the role involves curating diocesan-wide resources, developing and auditing key processes, collaborating with the Office of Communications, maintaining event calendars, and staying current with office productivity tools and technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from any field with analytical coursework
  • 3-5 years' experience in HR
  • Alignment to the mission, and adherence to the teachings, of the Catholic Church.
  • A strong belief in providing excellent service.
  • Proven experience in providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary service to employees and others who contact the Office of Human Resources.
  • Answer questions on HR policies and procedures.
  • Document employee concerns for escalation.
  • Manage the HR request tracker, delegating items to other offices as needed.
  • Develop programs to support the curia, including performance management and training.
  • Assist with curial employee onboarding, including reference checks, I-9s, and benefits.
  • Serve as data coordinator for HR, understanding concepts such as API and data exports from the diocesan HCM platform and other systems.
  • Execute reports.
  • Execute projects focusing on operational health and employee experience.
  • Serve as a power-user for the HCM platform to provide entity technical support to administrators and employees.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the HCM platform.
  • Curate diocesan-wide resources, including job descriptions and forms.
  • Develop, document, and audit key processes, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Works with the Office of Communications to develop materials for dissemination to diocesan employees.
  • Maintain calendar of training workshops, presentations, and other important events.
  • Manage a select group of HR-driven events.
  • Learn and remain current on office productivity tools and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Other tasks and projects, as assigned.
