POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for guiding and supporting health information functions and services at designated facility(s) or functional areas within Banner Health. This position will support the achievement of assigned key performance indicators, including data analysis and development of action plans when needed. The role is responsible for successfully managing the operational activities of Health Information Management Services (HIMS), including hiring staff, goal setting and performance measurement, monitoring and measuring staff competencies, assigning work, training staff, and corrective action. This position promotes a collaborative, open, and inclusive work environment within a highly integrated organization on matters related to health information operations. This position may work with facility leadership related to facility-specific issues and opportunities. This position will identify opportunities for workflows to enhance related functions, which will be provided to upline leader(s) for consideration.
