More about our team Providence Swedish Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art 40 bed behavioral health facility serving the Puget Sound community. How you'll contribute A Health Information Management Manager (HIM) who excels in this role: Works collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to assure completion of records that meet all regulatory and facility requirements. Reviews and responds to the daily reports for HIM related issues. Answer inquiries from internal and external contacts regarding information recorded in patient's medical records, within all departmental policies and guidelines. Responds appropriately to any potential HIM issues. Reports/records HIPAA incidents in a timely manner & investigates to determine if breach of confidentiality occurred. Performs timely audits on medical charts to ensure documentation is complete and accurate. Prepares/audits the medical records post discharge to assure all required documentation is present. Accurately records and monitors departmental deficiency rate and maintains rate below 30%. What we're looking for Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills: Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Previous experience in health information management required, prior supervisory experience preferred. License: Prefer Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). Valid driver's license preferred.
