About The Position

This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of Relationship Managers who serve Ultra High Net Worth clients. The manager will focus on deepening client loyalty, supporting business strategy, and coaching the team to achieve strong outcomes. The position involves resolving complex client issues, influencing process improvements, and leveraging technical knowledge of Vanguard's products and services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Three years of experience in Financial Services.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • This job requires FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 65, 66 or ability to acquire within department guidelines.
  • Strong track record of building inclusive and high performing teams to producing strong outcomes.
  • Navigating ambiguity.
  • Innovatively solving complex problems.
  • Developing Practice Management skills (relationship management, book management, and sales).
  • Collaborate across Vanguard departments and business units.

Nice To Haves

  • Relationship Management and Sales experience preferred.
  • Previous sales leadership experience preferred.
  • Graduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew.
  • Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions.
  • Deepens loyalty with existing Ultra High Net Worth clients by anticipating needs and demonstrating expertise to align solutions.
  • Supports strategy planning for a book of business. Model growth opportunities, contribute to business planning activities, and support client account retention.
  • Provides guidance and support to Wealth Management Select Relationship Managers.
  • Assists in the recovery and strengthening of at-risk relationships coaching Relationship Managers to demonstrate empathy and deeply understanding client needs.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors goals and action plans.
  • Reviews team performance and identify trends, suggests improvements, and provides analysis/feedback to Relationship Manager.
  • Resolves complex client issues related to products or processes by taking ownership and delivering consistently with excellence.
  • Influences changes among the team to improve end-to-end processes and meet client needs.
  • Participates in solution development with internal colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Supports Relationship Managers in identifying potential options for solutions.
  • Uses technical knowledge of Vanguard funds, products, and services to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the client relationship.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
