About The Position
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and direct a GP PS Hatchery Team to deliver high‑quality products that meet customer expectations while achieving financial and business objectives. Key responsibilities include: Providing quality products to customers globally Achieving production and financial goals Developing and maintaining effective communication with customers, shared services, and other hatcheries Meeting HR and safety objectives that support hatchery facilities Developing, evaluating, and implementing new processes and technologies Maintaining compliance with domestic and international regulations governing Cobb business activities Recruiting, developing, and maintaining a qualified team Essential competencies include: Interpersonal Savvy, Drive for Results, Directing, Leading, Problem Solving, Time Management, Organizational Agility, Ethics and Values, Motivating and Delegating, Conflict Management, Written and Verbal Communication, Developing Self and Others, Listening, Peer Relationships, Approachability, Comfort with Higher Management, Managerial Courage, Business Acumen, Decision Quality, Decision Timeliness, Informing, Creativity, and Building Effective Teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a general professional field, typically obtained through four (4) years of college, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Four (4) or more years of poultry management–related experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.
- Must use safe lifting techniques.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must follow all required safety procedures and wear designated personal protective equipment when visiting facilities.
