About The Position

The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund (www.fidelitycharitable.org) is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity that coordinates donor-advised funds, which are charitable giving vehicles providing donors with immediate tax benefits and the ability to support their favorite charities on a flexible timetable. Since 1991, the Gift Fund has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits and increased charitable impact of using a donor-advised fund to meet their philanthropic goals. Note: Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position. The Manager for Grant Operations will oversee one of two Core Grant Operations teams. The manager will review and audit high dollar grant recommendations of our Donors and Advisors, while providing oversight of manager queues, and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Core Grant Operation’s team. The Manager will be part of a highly motivated, fast-paced, collaborative environment and will help lead the team in work organization, risk management, and the achievement of desired key performance metrics, service level agreements, and business results. The Manager will support daily, weekly, and monthly tasks regarding workflow oversight, associate coaching, problem resolution, and new hire onboarding. The Manager will be responsible for vendor oversight, working with key business partners on creating new or revamping existing program offerings to execute philanthropic goals. The Manager will need to assess and evaluate complex requests to determine scalability, risk exposure, and profitability to the business. The Manager will work closely with our Legal, Risk and Compliance team to evaluate complex requests to recommend grant and or charity approvability. These decisions impact if and how our donors can grant funds to certain flagged charities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated ability in service operations
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Workflow Management
  • Outstanding interpersonal, planning, and time leadership skills
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Shown experience identifying and mitigating areas of risk
  • Proven track record to lead and mentor associates in a dynamically changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily work distribution to Core Grant Operations team associates
  • Monitor aged premium work items/queues and follow up to ensure timely transaction processing
  • Assist the operations management and Philanthropic Relationship Management team with the timely completion of team and departmental projects
  • Assist in developing resource requirements, planning, and hiring in preparation for Giving Season
  • Oversee new associate onboarding specifically with access and ensure training is scheduled
  • Identify process efficiencies and/or technology enhancements
