About The Position

The Manager Global Supply Planning role supports the Pantry and Bakery categories within Target Owned Brand Food & Beverage. Global Supply Planning (GSP) designs, plans, and activates upstream supply and inventory strategies that ensure reliability and flexibility while enabling sustainable growth for Target. As the upstream integrator, GSP connects Planning, Inventory Management, Sourcing, and production to provide visibility, proactively manage supply risk, and enable downstream partners to optimize in-network inventory. A role in Global Supply Planning means ensuring that the supply, capacity, and production plans are established in conjunction with demand plans and manufacturing processes to meet business needs. The role will ensure that items are produced and available at the right time and in the right location. This position will require working from our Minneapolis HQ location 4 days a week. In office requirements are subject to change. This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. Team Members in the Target General Merch Inc operating company are prohibited from working more than thirty (30) days per calendar year in any of the following states: AL, AR, DE, FL, IN, IA, LA, MD, MS, MO, NC, OK, PA, SC, TN and VA. If hired, you will be prohibited from working remotely from any of the states listed above for more than thirty (30) days per calendar year.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experiences
• 3+ years relevant sourcing, planning, inventory management, and/or supply planning experience
• Strong strategic, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrates ability to analyze large sets of data and insights to form a perspective to effectively problem solve and drive decisions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills demonstrating ability to work effectively with local and overseas partners.
• Flexibility, resiliency and nimbleness; comfortable with ambiguity and working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage cross-functional team, story tell through data, and keep partners informed.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage competing deliverables and collaborate with and influence a broad group of partners and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Support the development and accountable for the execution of Upstream Supply Strategies: Partner with Planning, Inventory, and Sourcing to develop and activate upstream supply and inventory strategies that ensure surety of supply and enable faster response to risk signals.
• Evaluate business context, demand volatility, lead times, vendor capability, and liability exposure to determine the right supply model (e.g., read-and-react, inventory stocking).
• Lead Long Range Planning: Deliver the 3-year OB plan that aligns merchant long range plans with sourcing strategies.
• Own Collaborative Supply Planning: Partner with PIM, Sourcing, and business partners to create upstream supply strategies, including order flow tactics, stocking strategies, safety stock, and read and react activation.
• Shape routines and communication cadences that align upstream production decisions with downstream receipt needs.
• Deliver Performance Reporting & Insights: Create and maintain measurable KPIs connected to speed, flexibility, reliability, and business impact, ensuring strategy activation is grounded in data.
• Contribute to building and scaling Global Supply Planning in Owned Brands.
• Establish processes, tools, and operating models that elevate global supply planning as a strategic enabler.
• Own GSP deployment within your divisions and drive capability iteration through ongoing feedback, projects, and captainships.
