About The Position

The Manager, Global Sales Strategy & Planning will play a key role in providing strategic sales planning, analytical support, and pricing & deal analysis for the Global Content Sales group. This position will help the Sales team execute on initiatives and will be responsible for supporting the team throughout the sales process from the development of packages through deal execution. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales Strategy & Planning and actively supporting the Sales and Sales Planning teams, this role requires an advanced analytical background, strong strategic planning and critical thinking skills, and the ability to prepare clear and concise models and presentations for senior executives.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in media related field required with a focus on strategic planning and analysis
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced financial analysis and excel modeling preferred
  • Strategic and business planning experience
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise models and presentations for senior executives and management

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred
  • Prior experience in Television Distribution/Sales preferred
  • Previous experience with executive management presentations preferred
  • Previous knowledge and experience with software systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical sales support, pricing analysis, and deal modeling for licensing deals and new business ventures.
  • Serve as point person for tracking historical sales, pricing, and client activity. Monitor market/industry trends including competitive deals and pricing.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Planning team to review avails for potential packages and development of opportunities. Utilize systems and other data sources required to pull information for the team's projects, analyses, and Sales requests.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Sales Planning teams to provide pricing for potential packages and deals under negotiation.
  • Partner with Finance to assist with the development of the Budget and Long-Range Plan, and help track sales and progress against plan. Work on analyses for greenlights, valuations, and windowing decisions.
  • Partner with Strategy team to develop business reviews, business cases, and assessments/analysis of new revenue and growth opportunities
  • Partner with Research and Data Science teams to develop analytical support for initiatives, track content performance, and identify market/client opportunities
