About The Position

FDH Hardware is seeking a Manager, Global Quality Management System (QMS) to lead the development, maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System. The role ensures alignment with applicable customer, regulatory, statutory, and industry requirements, including AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001, ASA-100, FAA AC-00-56, and aerospace and defense quality standards. The Manager serves as the subject matter expert for quality system requirements and partners with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, HR, IT, and site leadership. The role promotes process consistency, audit readiness, risk management, corrective action effectiveness, and continuous improvement across a global, multi-site environment.

Requirements

10 or more years of experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or a related discipline.
Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, distribution, or another regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or AS9120 and ASA-100 and/or FAA AC-00-56.
Experience with internal audits, corrective action programs, document control, and root cause analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or qualifying asylee/refugee status is required for ITAR/EAR compliance; applicants will be asked to provide documentation verifying U.S. person status.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field is preferred.
ASQ certification such as CQA, CQE, or CQIA, or AS9100/AS9120/ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
Experience with aerospace distribution, aerospace hardware, or customer-specific quality requirements.
Experience managing quality programs across multiple locations.
Experience with ERP, QMS, electronic document management systems, and ITAR-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

Ensure quality management processes are documented, implemented, measured, maintained, and compliant with applicable standards, customer-specific, regulatory, and industry requirements.
Interpret standards, customer requirements, and regulatory changes; assess business impacts and translate requirements into processes, procedures, and controls.
Manage internal audit programs and support certification, surveillance, customer, and regulatory audits; track findings through closure and verify corrective action effectiveness.
Develop and mentor internal auditors and process owners.
Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA), corrective action, root cause analysis, nonconformance management, and problem-solving initiatives; identify recurring issues and drive sustainable improvements.
Maintain QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, quality records, document control, and records retention requirements.
Partner with IT and process owners to improve electronic QMS and document management systems.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve quality, compliance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and process consistency while promoting accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
Partner with HR, business leaders, process owners, and functional teams to support QMS training, quality awareness, competency, and compliance.
Support supplier quality issues, customer complaints, customer audits, and customer-specific requirements, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and strengthen customer relationships.
Support the quality aspects of process, system, supplier, and organizational changes.
Serve as a QMS resource and strategic partner across functions to drive standardization, best practices, risk management, and overall QMS effectiveness.
