About The Position

The Manager, Global Development & Learning is responsible for leading the enterprise learning, capability development, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness strategy that enables H&P to achieve its business objectives. Reporting to the Director of Global Talent and Learning, this leader translates enterprise priorities, workforce capability needs, and organizational challenges into scalable learning and development solutions that strengthen individual, team, and organizational performance. The successful candidate understands that workforce capability is a strategic advantage and recognizes the critical role learning and development play in enhancing customer outcomes, improving crew experiences, advancing organizational performance, and enabling execution of enterprise objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of HR experience including talent development and/or organizational capability.
  • 5+ years experience as a people leader preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of H&P's enterprise learning and capability strategy.
  • Establish a multi-year learning and capability development roadmap aligned to enterprise objectives and future workforce needs.
  • Translate business priorities into targeted capability-building initiatives that improve organizational performance and workforce readiness.
  • Ensure all content is culturally relevant, operationally practical, and adaptable for field, office, and regional audiences while maintaining a consistent enterprise standard.
  • Partners with business leaders, functional leaders, and HR partners to assess, prioritize, and address critical workforce capability gaps or needs.
  • Ensure learning investments are informed by business strategy, workforce demands, and future capability requirements.
  • Drive enterprise-wide collaboration that strengthens learning effectiveness and reduces fragmented or duplicative development efforts.
  • Develop and execute the enterprise organizational health strategy to strengthen engagement, leadership effectiveness, accountability, and performance.
  • Lead global team development programs and resources that embed H&P values, behaviors, and team effectiveness practices across the organization.
  • Help leaders create environments that foster high performance, learning agility, inclusion, and innovation.
  • Partner with Talent Management leader to support development plans for successors, high-potential talent, and critical talent populations.
  • Ensure technical training strategies support operational excellence, safety, customer expectations, and workforce productivity.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning that enables employees and leaders to reach their full potential while advancing enterprise objectives.
  • Ensure development strategies contribute meaningfully to the safety, success, growth, and wellbeing of crews across the organization.
  • Lead team responsible for technical training, leadership development, and organizational development.
  • Represent Talent Development & Learning on the Safety Leadership Team.
  • Lead the evolution and governance of a consistent, scalable approach to learning and capability development across all regions and business units.
  • Own the end-to-end operating system for the Global Training Framework, including governance and decision rights, Global Minimum Standards, regional execution, measurement, continuous improvement, and integration of the Authorized Trainer Network.
  • Lead the transition of the Global Training Framework from design into implementation, adoption, governance, and long-term sustainment across regions and business units.
  • Facilitate the Global Learning Governance Council and related governance forums, ensuring business ownership, regional representation, clear escalation pathways, and timely decisions on standards, risks, priorities, and exceptions.
  • Provide strategic oversight for Regional Training Owners and the Authorized Trainer Network, including role expectations, onboarding, governance resources, quality assurance, feedback loops, and ongoing readiness.
  • Guide integration of enterprise competency and competence-assurance work with the Global Training Framework so training, assessment, capability standards, and governance operate as a connected system.
  • Own the enterprise Synthesia program, including governance, standards, adoption, and performance.
  • Partner across the business to support responsible, secure, and scalable use of AI-enabled learning and communication tools.
  • Drive scalable, multilingual learning and communication solutions that improve accessibility, consistency, and speed to deployment.
  • Facilitate and lead the Global Learning Forum as the primary enterprise mechanism for aligning learning and development priorities.
