About The Position

You will be Manager of the Fracture Mechanics Engineering group for the Reactor Component Engineering department. You will lead the engineering team responsible for conducting the fracture mechanics analysis for the NSSS equipment. This includes analyses such as leak before break analysis, flaw tolerance evaluations, fatigue crack growth. This includes support for operating plants through outage support and modifications and new plant designs. You will report to the Director, Reactor Component Engineering, and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. This position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Materials, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience.
  • Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions
  • Leadership competency and existing experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring
  • Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource management across all supporting departments for multiple projects
  • Ensure, high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and industry standards
  • Mentor team members to improve overall team capability and technical proficiency.
  • Provide management-level technical oversight for fracture mechanics evaluations following industry criteria to support emergent outage issues, long-term operations, and uprates.
  • Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and a safety and quality culture
  • Coordinate emergent response to customer issues for responsibilities
