About The Position

This role provides a CPA firm perspective in developing and overseeing the creation of firm practice management resources designed to help firms tackle common practice management challenges. The position requires staying informed about developments in public accounting and the top concerns of members to proactively identify solutions and resources for Private Company Practice Section (PCPS) members. Responsibilities include engaging with committees and members, contributing to PCPS strategic initiatives, and representing PCPS to promote member benefits, tools, and resources. The role also supports AICPA strategies aimed at increasing engagement with CPA firms, raising awareness of opportunities within the profession, and highlighting AICPA resources that promote firm success, volunteerism, and advocacy. The position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director - Firm Services, with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5+ years' related experience in a CPA or professional services firm.
  • Public accounting experience, including knowledge of CPA–client relationships and a commitment to staying current on evolving issues affecting CPA firms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and manage PCPS firm practice management resources, tools, surveys, guides, podcasts, networking groups, and member-facing initiatives.
  • Manage projects from planning through execution.
  • Improve resources based on member needs, feedback, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver and promote Firm Services offerings.
  • Support engagement strategies for key CPA firm constituencies, including firm size specific groups such as the Major Firms Group (Top 100), G400 (Firms 101 to 500) and Small Firms.
  • Build relationships with firm leaders, members, and committee members.
  • Plan and support meetings, update calls, outreach, follow-ups, and communications.
  • Gather firm insights to inform Firm Services priorities.
  • Represent Firm Services at conferences, meetings, and member events.
  • Promote PCPS resources and Firm Services initiatives.
  • Monitor trends, emerging issues, and developments affecting CPA firms.
  • Share insights and incorporate them into resource and engagement planning.
