About The Position

As the Manager of Financial Statement and Regulatory Reporting, you will lead a team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant reporting for alternative investment funds. This role blends technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high‑quality financial statements and regulatory filings while driving process improvements and leveraging technology. You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, mentoring staff, and staying ahead of evolving industry regulations.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in an accounting firm, hedge fund, private equity administrator, audit, or financial institution with exposure to financial products
  • 3 years of supervisory experience managing investment fund accountants and/or auditors
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements or regulatory filings
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
  • Advanced knowledge of complex derivatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • CPA, CFA, CA, or similar designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, monitor, and review daily and periodic assignments completed by reporting staff
  • Compile and advise on monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports (e.g., Form PF, Form SLT)
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and audit firm personnel
  • Train staff on regulations and updated rules; set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and lead team meetings
  • Manage career development for Regulatory Reporting Accountants through group and individual training
  • Write and/or review reports related to engagements
  • Prepare ad hoc client reports as needed
  • Troubleshoot fund accounting and client issues
  • Attend meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge and share learnings with the team
  • Support reporting and fund‑accounting duties during peak periods as defined by the Senior Manager
  • Identify, research, and communicate new authoritative pronouncements to offices and clients
  • Understand engagement economics and manage budgets for individual engagements and projects
  • Identify opportunities for new clients and value‑added services for existing clients
