About The Position

Reporting to the Corporate Comptroller, the Manager, Financial Reporting and Advisory Services, plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the NHCs financial statements and related reports. In this senior role, you will lead the preparation and coordination of the annual financial audit conducted by the Auditor General of Canada’s office (OAG) and oversee the implementation of recommendations arising from the audit. You will also oversee the financial reporting of 25 Local Housing Organizations across Nunavut, applying financial integrity and professional judgment to ensure all reporting is accurate, compliant, and aligned with sound financial management practices. This role goes safeguards public funds, strengthens relationships with auditors and funders, and helps ensure housing programs are delivered responsibly and sustainably, in alignment with Article 23 and the public service values of Nunavut.
