About The Position

The Manager, FP&A will support Walmart’s eCommerce Marketplace business by partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive financial planning, forecasting, and performance insights across a high-growth digital platform. In this role, you will connect key marketplace drivers—such as seller acquisition, assortment expansion, GMV, take rate, and fulfillment mix—to financial outcomes. You will support forecasting, planning, and performance analysis while helping business partners make data-driven decisions that scale the marketplace profitably. The eCommerce Marketplace FP&A team supports the financial planning and performance management of Walmart’s third-party platform. The team partners closely with Marketplace, Merchandising, Operations, Product, and Supply Chain to evaluate seller performance, optimize unit economics, and guide strategic investments. We connect marketplace growth drivers—such as GMV, take rate, seller onboarding, and fulfillment through WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services)—to financial results. Our work enables profitable growth, improved seller experience, and stronger customer value across Walmart’s digital ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or analytics within eCommerce, marketplace, retail, or tech-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace economics, including GMV, take rate, contribution margin, and cost-to-serve.
  • Proven ability to build financial models, forecast performance, and analyze business drivers in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering cross-functionally to influence decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related area and 1 year's experience in financial planning and analysis or related area.
  • 3 years' experience in financial planning and analysis or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Support forecasting, planning, and reporting by linking marketplace drivers (GMV, take rate, seller growth, fulfillment mix) to financial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain financial models for monthly forecasts, annual planning, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze marketplace performance across key KPIs such as GMV, revenue, contribution margin, and seller trends.
  • Partner with Marketplace, Product, and Operations teams to evaluate initiatives like pricing, seller incentives, and WFS strategy.
  • Deliver clear insights and recommendations to leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
