Specific Responsibilities Would Include Position Summary: The Manager, Financial Applications is responsible for leading and supporting SAP Finance solutions and related enterprise applications that enable critical financial operations across the organization. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and cross-functional business teams, driving system enhancements, process improvements, integrations, and ongoing support initiatives. This role reports to the Senior Director, Financial Applications. This is a highly collaborative role that requires regular interaction with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners. To support effective partnership, project execution, and team collaboration, the position follows a hybrid work schedule of Monday–Thursday in office and Friday remote, subject to change based on business needs. Consistent in-person engagement is considered essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP FICO expertise, strong business process knowledge, hands-on ERP implementation experience, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience supporting Finance systems, ERP platforms, or enterprise applications, including significant hands-on SAP FICO experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and SAP functional and technical capabilities.
  • Expertise in the design and implementation of financial systems or enterprise software solutions.
  • Knowledge of Record to Report (R2R) business processes is required.
  • Extensive SAP FICO functional experience, including: General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Bank Accounting (FI-BL), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL), Cost Element Accounting (CO-OM-CEL), Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA), Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Profit Center Accounting (EC-PCA).
  • Experience managing Finance processes and ERP implementation projects, including at least one full-cycle SAP implementation.
  • Experience across all project phases including fit/gap analysis, design, build, testing, training, cutover, and post-go-live support.
  • Strong experience integrating SAP with third-party systems and middleware platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and analyze complex business requirements and collaborate with technical teams on configuration, development, and integration solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business and technology teams to understand complex end-to-end business processes.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adhere to the company's hybrid work schedule is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership and direction on projects to department and project participants.
  • Assist with the planning, direction, and implementation of Information Technology projects that impact multiple cross-functional business areas.
  • Partner closely with Finance stakeholders to establish expectations, communicate project updates, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Collaborate with business representatives and liaisons to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop system enhancements, coordinate testing, and support change management and training activities.
  • Manage the daily support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SAP and other Finance applications.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, including automation initiatives.
  • Validate and document configurations, enhancements, development activities, and underlying business processes.
  • Coordinate with corporate Finance users to understand functional requirements and identify effective technology solutions.
  • Share SAP knowledge and best practices with team members to support future enhancements and organizational capability growth.
  • Lead analysis, research, design, and development of new functionality and integrations across the SAP ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Support production issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
