The Manager, Finance Business Partner will work under the Director, Finance Business Partner, supporting business leaders in Corporate Functions by providing financial analysis and management reporting. The role will primarily support Questrade’s enterprise shared services groups, including client service, finance, compliance, and people & culture. Key responsibilities include refining and tracking financial budgets and forecasts, developing business cases for new initiatives, and collaborating with the corporate FP&A team to deliver timely management reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

A post-secondary degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field.
A CPA designation (or working towards).
5+ years of related work experience in FP&A, with at least 2 years at a leadership level.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple levels of management, both verbally and in writing.
Pro-active and results-driven attitude.
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure, maintain strong attention to detail and prioritize work within tight deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Nice To Haves

Experience in financial/investment industry is an asset.
NetSuite and Oracle EPBCS experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Support business unit leaders with the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets.
Provide monthly and annual operating results analysis against budget to business unit leaders and Executive teams.
Work closely with the People & Culture team and other members of the finance team in tracking and reporting on headcount.
Conduct various financial modeling projects on operational short-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
Track performance of business cases.
Develop and maintain financial models using various modeling methodologies, incl. statistical modeling, driver-based modeling, and financial valuation methods.
Pursue continuous improvement in business processes for FP&A.
Lead and assist with ad-hoc special projects within the Finance team as they may arise.
