This position, in conjunction with other areas, shares accountability for optimizing the cost and performance of the distribution system. Primarily responsible for the overall implementation of engineering strategies. Responsible for managing, leading, coaching, and evaluating the performance of the engineering team members to enable the organization to successfully meet its goals and objectives. The manager plays a critical role in developing and managing a consistent strategy amongst engineers to ensure optimization of the distribution system. Responsible for ensuring timely response in support of, root cause analysis, and follow up on, system events. In addition, this position is responsible for the development and cost justification of programs and projects for inclusion in the Life Cycle Plan, a long-term plan for the asset base. Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work, and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance.
