About The Position

This role manages the assigned hospital campus and assists with overseeing facilities operations, managing budgets, directing routine maintenance, responding to emergencies, managing risk, managing construction/contractors, and conducting site inspections. The manager assists with directing the Facilities department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (Required)
  • A minimum of three (3) years of healthcare facilities management experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Associate's degree in a job-related field, or a trade license, or Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) certification required.
  • A high school diploma or GED may be substituted with five (5) years of healthcare facilities experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Manages/Oversees all the Construction Projects, attends meetings and coordinates all hospital shutdowns.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Acts as a project manager and schedules, monitors, and inspects work provided by in house craftsman and outside contractors to ensure work meets appropriate standards.
  • Manages and evaluates departmental operations, including, service level determination and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Responds to all emergencies related to utilities that affect hospital systems.
  • Assists with management of the safety program to reduce risk of injury for patients, staff and visitors.
  • Manages all routine maintenance for all utilities as required by Joint Commission/AHCA.
  • Source and manage outside vendors and service providers including but not limited to maintenance contracts, grounds keeping, facility and/or system inspection and certifications, etc.
  • Evaluate trend analysis on all equipment fault times.
