Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of leadership experience
  • Three (3) years of equivalent combination of culinary education and culinary experience
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or (RD-ADA) or (RD-AND) or (RD-CDR) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) within 24 months of hire
  • Servsafe Manager (SERVSAFMGR)
  • Servsafe General Certificate (SERVSAFE GEN) within 60 days of hire
  • Arizona Food Handler Permit (FHP:AZ) or Servsafe Certification (SERVSAFE) within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Associates in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management. Commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and administering culinary and nutrition services, and to provide for the operational needs of staff members.
  • Lead and manage culinary and nutrition services, overseeing staff, ensuring quality and compliance, driving patient satisfaction and managing all operational aspects of the food production and service.
  • Identifies current learning needs and opportunities for staff. Directs and manages processes in which the appropriate expert relates the information
  • Conducts sanitation audits and performance audits on a consistent basis per determined departmental frequencies
  • Follows purchasing agreements and compliance goals set forth by departmental/Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program leadership. Assists Manager/Director with compliance audits at all applicable campuses
  • Maintains communication with staff and customers regarding the level of services they receive from Food and Nutrition Services, staff, and promotes patient satisfaction with nutritional services. This data is relayed to the management team and/or staff whenever necessary
